JYP Entertainment has officially announced that TWICE’s Chaeyoung will be absent from the group’s upcoming Kaohsiung concerts due to health concerns. The news comes just days before TWICE is set to perform for two consecutive nights at the Kaohsiung World Games Main Stadium — the group’s first-ever concert in Taiwan.
According to the statement released on November 20, Chaeyoung has been diagnosed with vasovagal syncope, a condition that can cause sudden fainting due to drops in heart rate and blood pressure triggered by specific factors.

“After thorough consultation with medical professionals,” the agency explained, “Chaeyoung has been advised to take a complete break to focus on recovery. As a result, all her scheduled activities have been suspended until the end of the year.”
The decision affects more than just the Kaohsiung shows. JYP confirmed that Chaeyoung will also miss TWICE’s tour stops in Hong Kong and Bangkok, part of their ongoing “READY TO BE” world tour.

The announcement was met with an outpouring of support from fans, who have expressed their concern and sent messages wishing her a swift recovery. Meanwhile, the agency noted that Chaeyoung herself feels deeply regretful and apologetic about the situation and hopes fans will understand her need for rest.
This marks a significant pause in the 2025 schedule for TWICE, one of K-pop’s leading girl groups. Despite the setback, JYP assures fans that the remaining members are prepared to deliver powerful performances in Chaeyoung’s absence.
We wish Chaeyoung a safe and full recovery, and look forward to seeing her back on stage when she’s ready.
