According to SPOTV News on November 20, Minji and Danielle engaged in one-on-one discussions with ADOR, during which both parties clarified their respective stances. These meetings come amidst heightened public interest in the group’s future.
Meanwhile, Hanni — reportedly residing in Antarctica at the moment — has yet to participate in such talks.
Recently, members Haerin and Hyein announced their return to ADOR just before the deadline to appeal the court’s first ruling, which confirmed the validity of their exclusive contracts. Following this announcement, Minji, Hanni, and Danielle also expressed their intent to return to ADOR via their legal representatives, stating: “After careful consideration, we have decided to return to ADOR. Due to the lack of response from the agency, we are making this announcement separately.”
Despite this unilateral declaration, ADOR responded cautiously: “We are currently verifying the facts.” The company further stated that it was in the process of arranging individual meetings with the members, “to ensure productive discussions and confirm their intentions regarding the return.”
The individual meetings reportedly served as a platform to share perspectives and deliberate over the preconditions necessary for a full-fledged return. The public’s attention is now focused on whether these discussions will bridge the remaining gaps and lead to a complete reunion of all five members.
Previously, NewJeans lost their case confirming the validity of their exclusive contracts with ADOR and did not appeal the first-instance ruling. Haerin and Hyein, after discussing the matter with their families and the agency, decided to return and issued a joint announcement through ADOR.
ADOR commented: “After careful deliberation with their families and extensive discussions with the agency, both members have decided to honor the court’s decision and abide by the exclusive contracts. We will fully support Haerin and Hyein so they can smoothly continue their entertainment activities. We kindly ask fans to refrain from speculative assumptions and continue showing warm support.”
