According to the report on March 5, paparazzi captured the married editor-in-chief of GQ Taiwan, Kai Wen, driving to Taoyuan International Airport to pick up model Tsai Jui-Hsueh after she returned from Japan. After meeting at the airport, the two were reportedly seen heading together to Kai Wen’s private residence in Taipei. The pair remained inside the apartment overnight and was only seen leaving the next morning.

The Affair Rumor Started from a Skiing Trip

Further investigation by Mirror Weekly claimed that the two had actually traveled together to Hokkaido, Japan, for a skiing trip in mid-February. To avoid attracting attention to their alleged relationship, Kai Wen reportedly paid for Tsai Jui-Hsueh to remain in Japan for an additional week before returning separately to Taiwan. The controversy intensified after a blurred video of an alleged couple having an affair at a ski resort surfaced online. Because the timing of the video coincided with the rumors surrounding Tsai Jui-Hsueh, some netizens speculated that the individuals in the footage were her and Kai Wen.

Neighbors living in the upscale Xinyi District neighborhood where Kai Wen resides also told reporters that the two had been secretly seeing each other for some time. Some witnesses claimed they had previously seen the pair meeting privately and even kissing in the lobby of the apartment complex.

Kai Wen, who studied overseas, built his career in fashion media after returning to Taiwan. He worked as a designer and editor before eventually rising to become the editor-in-chief of GQ Taiwan . He is known to be married and has three children, two sons and one daughter.

Tsai Jui-Hsueh, born in 1996, is a well-known figure in Taiwan’s entertainment scene. She first gained attention during her high school years, earning the nickname “Goddess of Taipei First Girls’ High School.” The model previously dated wealthy heir Sun Mai-Chieh, but their relationship reportedly ended after facing opposition from the man’s family.

Public Reactions and Responses

Following the publication of the photos, both Kai Wen and Tsai Jui-Hsueh faced heavy criticism online. Many netizens accused the model of being a “third party” who interfered in another family’s marriage, while others criticized Kai Wen for betraying his wife despite presenting himself as a devoted family man.

However, Tsai Jui-Hsueh has now denied the affair allegations. According to China Times, the model responded to the controversy on March 5, stating that her relationship with Kai Wen is strictly platonic and that they have never crossed any boundaries.

In response, Tsai Jui-Hsueh firmly rejected the claims. She said that after verifying the footage, the video has nothing to do with her, emphasizing that the person appearing in the clip is not her. “Regarding the ski resort video circulating on social media, after verification, the content has nothing to do with me. The person in the video is not me, and the speculation is simply netizens’ assumptions,” she said. She also clarified that she never went skiing with Kai Wen.

Through her lawyer, the model further explained that she first met Kai Wen in November last year through mutual friends. She stated that their relationship has always been limited to friendship. According to her explanation, Kai Wen had told her that he was already living separately from his wife and had discussed divorce, which is why she interacted with him only as a supportive friend.

Tsai Jui-Hsueh stressed that the situation described by Mirror Weekly, including suggestions of a romantic relationship, was inaccurate. She added that she would be more cautious about her actions and communication in the future.
