This “monster” actress got cast to lead Lee Chang-dong’s movie 3 days after signing to her agency then stepped on Cannes Film Festival’s red carpet

Actress Jeon Jong-seo will greet the viewers through the new drama “Money Heist: Korea – Joint Economic Area”, which is set to be released on Netflix this June.

3 days after joining her company, Jeon Jong-seo attended an audition for a movie and was eventually chosen for the main character role. That movie was “Burning”, which was directed by Lee Chang-dong. It was also the work that helped her walk on the red carpet of the Cannes Film Festival for the first time.

Following “Burning”, Jeon Jong-seo selected “The Call” as her next film. Thanks to her excellent performance in this movie, she won Best Actress at the 2021 Baeksang Arts Awards. Later, Jeon Jong-seo and “The Call” director Lee Chung-hyun developed into lovers. In the end, she succeeded in both work and love through “The Call”.

Less than a week after finishing the filming for her second work – TVing’s web series “Ransom” with director Lee Chung-hyun on April 17th, Jeon Jong-seo confirmed her appearance in the third work, which is Netflix’s film “Ballerina”.

Conflicts often occur between the director and actors on the filming set, but since Jeon Jong-seo and Lee Chung-hyun met each other for the first time through work, they seem to have better synergy as colleagues and as lovers.

In addition, it is known that Jeon Jong-seo will appear in Netflix’s “Money Heist: Korea – Joint Economic Area”, which is scheduled to air on June 24th, as Tokyo. Fans are raising high expectations and showing support for the actress.
