Once shining spectacularly on the Korean screen, this Korean actress saw her popularity fading just as quickly.

Park Se Young, born in 1988, was a household name back in 2011 – 2014 after starring in a wide variety of popular works such as “Man from the Equator”, “Love Rain”, “Faith”, “School 2013”, “A Tale of Two Sisters”, and so on. During these 3 years, Park Se Young was an undefeatable star, and was considered the “fastest-rising actress” of the time.

After 2014, however, Park Se Young’s career came to a regrettable halt. Despite still starring in a total of 5 dramas and earning certain awards, in the past 7 years, no roles of Park Se Young managed to resonate with the audience. From a rising name, Park Se Young seems to have faded from the public’s eyes, and she struggled to shine against other actors and actresses of the same age. Her most recent work, “Mental Coach Jegal”, also recorded disappointing viewership, and in fact is the lowest-rated K-drama of its time slot.

While her career is rather lackluster, Park Se Young actually boasts an admirable love story. Early this year, she announced her upcoming marriage with actor Kwak Jung Wook, who she co-starred with in the K-drama “School 2013”. They met as colleagues, became friends, and later lovers, and often shared their work and passion with each other. Now, they are deeply in love, leading a peaceful, supportive, and admirable relationship.
