A rich young master who pursue acting after he lost it all
Korean actor Kim Min Jong was born in 1971 in a wealthy household, with his father running a real estate business and his mother being a famous culturist. With such a background, Kim Min Jong grew up rich, only to lose everything as his father ran into bankruptcy.
The drastic change in lifestyle caused Kim Min Jong to have a mental crisis, and the more he watched his parents work tirelessly, the more he willed himself to quickly get a job and improve their lives. This results in Kim Min Jong’s debuting as an actor at the age of 17 with a minor role in “Don Quixote On Asphalt”, and “My Love, Don Quixote” in the following year. Despite his admirable career, Kim Min Jong is still bachelor after 30 years in the industry. He once announced that he wanted to marry the Runner-Up of Miss Korea, Lee Seung Yeon, but the couple unfortunately separated after 6 years of dating and became friends.
After his breakup with Lee Seung Yeon, Kim Min Jung got to know famous actress Song Hye Kyo via the K-drama “Guardian Angel”. According to various sources, Song Hye Kyo soothed the various mental scars of Kim Min Jong, and helped him to become a stronger person. However, while Kim Min Jong once announced that he “wants to protect Song Hye Kyo for the rest of her life”, the actress remained silent, and rumor has it that their families were against the relationship.
It was only years later that Kim Min Jong moved one and dated actress Kim Kyu Ri in public, but this relationship didn’t last long. In 2017, the actor revealed he’s dating a non-celebrity girlfriend in a talk show, but there’s still no wedding news. Now 51 years old, Kim Min Jong still remains unmarried, leading to suspicions that he’s once again a bachelor.
