The actor in question is Kim Min, who played John, the right-hand man of the big boss in the Philippines.

As John, Kim Min appeared on the screen with the lead actor Choi Min Sik all the time. He left a great impression on the audience with his charismatic action scenes and the way he fluently speaks speaking Tagalog (the language of the Philippines) like a local as well as English. Because of Kim Min’s impressive language usage, many viewers did not even realize that he is Korean.

Contrary to many people’s guesses, Kim Min is a native Korean. It is known that he was a construction architect and a Taekwondo athlete in Korea, then moved to New Zealand and started pursuing acting.

Kim Min has built his acting career by starring in various TV series, commercials, and Netflix productions overseas. After returning to Korea, he joined the 2020 film “King of Prison” and then the JTBC’s 2021 drama “Sisyphus: The Myth” as a supporting actor. Later, Kim Min got cast in “Big Bet”, and began to gain recognition for his solid and unique acting. Therefore, viewers are now eagerly looking forward to his future works and characters.

“Big Bet” is a drama centering around Cha Moo Sik (Choi Min Sik), a legendary gambler who faces a crisis and makes his final bet in life against the persistent pursuit of Korean cop Oh Seung Hoon (Son Seok Gu). “Big Bet” ended after airing the final episode on the 22nd of this month, however, many people are not satisfied with the ending, to the point of calling it “unconventional” and “absurd”.
