An international couple who fell in love with each other through SNS and promised to get married without even seeing each other in person appeared on “Oh! My Wedding”.
The August 21st broadcast of SBS’s program “Oh! My Wedding” depicted the love story crossing the borders of Cha Jong-won and Doolina Maria.
Cha Jong-won fell in love with Ukrainian-Russian girl Doolina Maria at first sight while he was serving in the military.
Cha Jong-won was impressed by Maria’s face just by looking at her SNS photos. Since then, he has consistently sent DMs (direct messages) to Maria to convey his feelings.
According to the contents of their messages released on the show, Cha Jong-won complimented Maria, “Aren’t you too pretty?”, and Maria replied saying thank you.
Maria confessed, “I received a lot of messages like that. As he consistently sent me such messages, I also opened my heart”.
Cha Jong-won said, “We talked to each other through messages only and in the process, we naturally mentioned getting married”. Surprised by the story, MC Yoo Byung-jae said, “You mean you proposed to her through text messages?”.

Meanwhile, Cha Jong-won has been an unknown singer for 10 years. Cha Jong-won, who made his debut at the age of 19, confessed that there were many moments when he wanted to give up but he made up his mind after meeting Maria.
