The news of Chanthakan’s victory drew keen attention from K-pop fans. It is because of her relationship with BLACKPINK’s Lisa.

Chanthakan also mentioned Lisa in an interview with Japanese media. She said, “My cousin (Lisa) went abroad for her idol activities when she was young so I’ve never met her”, adding “I also want to become famous like her”.

Regarding the compliment that she looks like Japanese actress Yui Okada, Chanthakan said, “I don’t know who she is but I’m happy to hear that. Thank you.”

Meanwhile, Lisa’s group BLACKPINK is preparing for their comeback as a whole group this summer.
