Choi Bomin, an actor and member of Kpop boy group Golden Child, reported serious injuries.
On September 29th, Woollim Entertainment, the agency of Golden Child, issued a statement which said:
“Hello.
This is Woollim Entertainment.
First of all, we have a sudden and unfortunate news to the fans who have always shown unstinting interest and love for Golden Child.
On the afternoon of the 28th, Golden Child member Choi Bomin received a facial fracture from a wood club wielded by someone else during golf practice on a personal schedule, and immediately proceeded with emergency treatment and detailed examination.
As a result of the examination, we are arranging for a surgery schedule according to the medical staff’s opinion that surgery should be performed for the facial fracture.
Following the recommendation of the medical staff that rehabilitation treatment should be carried out for a certain period of time after surgery, Choi Bomin will focus on treatment and recovery of health for the time being.
Therefore, it is difficult for him to participate in the current schedules of Golden Child.
We apologize again for causing concern to many fans with this sudden news.

Meanwhile, Choi Bomin’s group Golden Child is scheduled to perform at the Asia Contents Awards ceremony, which will be held at the outdoor theater of the Seoul Cinema Center in Haeundae-gu, Busan on October 8th.
