Actress Ha Yeon-soo expressed her condolences to Itaewon disaster victims while studying in Japan.

Ha Yeon-soo recently posted on her Instagram Story, saying “I would like to express my deep condolences to the victims in the Itaewon accident”.

In addition, the actress explained, “I decided not to attend today’s schedule”, adding “I hope Korean and Japanese fans who waited for this meeting would mourn the victims together with me. Also, I would like to ask for your understanding”.

Earlier this year, Ha Yeon-soo left for Japan to study arts after her contract with her former agency expired. She is known to be living in Japan. The actress often communicates with fans and reveals her whereabouts through SNS.

On October 29th, a crowd crush occurred in an alley next to Hamilton Hotel in Itaewon, Yongsan-gu, Seoul, and caused a total of 303 casualties, including 154 deaths.

The government declared Yongsan-gu, Seoul as a special disaster area and decided to hold a national mourning period until November 5th to express condolences to the victims. Each local government has also set up a memorial altar for mourners.
