It is a well-known fact that Kim Hye-eun graduated from Seoul National University majoring in the Department of Vocal Music. Kim Hye-eun then gave up her career as a musician and returned to Korea with the new dream of becoming an announcer.

Kim Hye-eun took the challenge at MBC’s announcer open recruitment in 1997 but unfortunately, she ranked No.3 while MBC only accepted 2 candidates. The No.1 and No.2 were announcers Kim Joo-ha and Bang Hyun-joo. Therefore, Kim Hye-eun was first admitted as an announcer at a local affiliate of MBC in Cheongju. She later moved to Seoul and worked as a weathercaster for 8 years.
