BLACKPINK Jisoo is considering a movie debut in webtoon-based ‘Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint’
On October 24th, it was reported that Ahn Hyo-seop, Lee Min-ho, BLACKPINK’s Jisoo, Nana will be starring in the 30 billion-won film ‘Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint,‘ based on the webtoon of the same name.
‘Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint’ depicts the story of Kim Dok-ja, the protagonist, who tries to save the world in a world that has changed according to the contents of the novel he was reading one day.
Jisoo is offered the role of Lee Ji-hye, a former highschool student leading the story along with Kim Dok-ja (Ahn Hyo- seop) and Yoo Joon-hyuk (Lee Min-ho).
It is revealed that Jisoo readily accepted the casting offer, as she is a fan of the original webtoon. In response, YG told various media outlets, “We have received the offer and are currently under review.”
If Jisoo joins this project, expectations are high for her movie debut. Jisoo made her acting debut in JTBC’s drama ‘Snowdrop’ and recently had a cameo appearance in the movie ‘Dr Cheon.’
Meanwhile, Jisoo’s exclusive contract with YG Entertainment recently expired, and discussions are underway regarding whether she will renew her contract.
