The trailer of “Emergency Declaration” (directed by Han Jae-rim) has unveiled its first moments.

The trailer of Emergency Declaration was simultaneously released all around the world on Jun 14th. The prospective audience is overwhelmed by the tension in just a short time of 1 minute and 32 seconds. 

It was intense from the start. A man’s monologue, “I’m gonna attack a plane,” was then followed by a stiff atmosphere on the plane. Im Si-wan gave a meaningful smile before leaving a shocking comment, “I want all the people on the plane to die.” Horrified passengers followed.

The plane turned 360 degrees. The captain and the crew went against each other. The characters then faced a desperate situation not only on board but also on the ground. 

“The actors depicted the inner feelings of passengers who encountered an unexpected disaster at 28,000 feet high and the authorities who want the plane to land safely on the ground,” an insider said.

“Emergency Declaration” is an air disaster movie about a plane that declared unconditional landing due to an unprecedented air terror. The movie boasts a very luxurious lineup including Song Kang-ho, the 75th Cannes Film Festival’s Best Actor Award, Lee Byung-hun, Jeon Do-yeon, Kim Nam-gil, Im Si-wan, Kim So-jin, and Park Hae-joon.

Song Kang-ho plays ‘In-ho,’ a veteran detective team leader. Jeon Do-yeon will be transformed into the Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, ‘Sook-hee’. Park Hae-jin played the role of ‘Tae-soo,’ the head of the Blue House’s Crisis Management Center.

Lee Byung-hun plays the role of ‘Jae-hyuk’ who boarded the plane with his child. Kim Nam-gil worked together with them as the bookkeeper ‘Hyun-soo’ and Im Si-wan as passengers ‘Jin-seok’.

“Emergency Declaration” is an official invitation to the non-competitive category of the 74th Cannes Film Festival. It was scheduled to be released in December last year, but it was postponed twice due to the pandemic. The movie will be released in cinema in August.
