The tragic life of a child actress in “Autumn in My Heart”: A beautiful and talented actress but died young due to brain tumor

When talking about child actors who acted in the hit drama “Autumn in My Heart”, everyone would think of Moon Geun Young, who played the young version of Song Hye-kyo’s character. Apart from Moon Geun Young, there were many child actors who contributed a lot to the success of this drama. Among them, there was the lovely Lee Ae Jeong. However, she was not as lucky as other friends of the same age.
In “Autumn in My Heart”, Lee Ae Jeong played the young version of Choi Shin Ae (Han Chae Young). With her lovely appearance and impressive acting skills, Lee Ae Jeong was considered a promising actress of the Korean film industry. Especially, Ae Jeong received many compliments for her hard work as she continuously got cast in new projects with different kinds of characters. After “Autumn in My Heart”, she also appeared in several amazing works, such as “Four Sisters”, “Beautiful Days”, and “Jump”. Then, the tragedy of her life occurred.
When Lee Ae Jeong turned 19 and was just accepted to Hanyang University in 2006, she was diagnosed with brain tumor. At that time, she often had headaches but only took some common medicines. However, as a result of a medical checkup at the hospital, it turned out that she didn’t have much time left. Ae Jeong underwent two surgeries at Seoul National University Hospital but couldn’t win against brain tumor. The talented actress died on September 6th, 2007 at a hospital in her hometown Gyeonggi.
