The rich teenage girl in “Parasite” after 3 years: Upgraded visuals, now taking on lead roles

After 3 years, the actress behind Parasite’s rich daughter seems to be faring well in the acting industry.

Actress Jung Ji So started acting when she was only 13 years old. However, it was only in 2019, after starring in the Oscar-winning movie “Parasite”, did she manage to actually land a role with proper screen time. In “Parasite”, Jung Ji So played Park Da Hye, the naive daughter of a rich family, who secretly had a romantic relationship with her fake tutor played by Choi Woo Shik. At the time, Jung Ji So already entered her 20s, but her youthful appearance and petite figure easily fooled the audience into thinking she was still a high school student.

The massive success of “Parasite” helped Jung Ji So receive more attention from producers and directors. In 2021, she landed her first lead role in the movie “The Cursed: Dead Man’s Prey”. On the small screen, she was cast to lead dramas such as “The Cursed” and “Imitation”. However, these works failed to succeed commercially. Jung Ji So’s most recent role is in Netflix’s hit original series “Hellbound”. Through CGI effects, Jung Ji So’s facial expressions were used to portray the “Angel” character, a mysterious force that appears to signal death.

Born in 1999, Jung Ji So turns 23 years old (international age) this year. With her good acting skills, she is considered one of the most potential young actresses of the industry. In real life, Jung Ji So also stuns viewers with her beauty, proving that she has grown up to be absolutely gorgeous in 3 years since “Parasite”.
