Recently, the remarkable growth stories of children who appeared on KBS2’s The Return of Superman have once again become a hot topic among viewers.

Among them is Haru Lee, daughter of singer Tablo, who first captured hearts in 2013 with her warm personality and thoughtful actions. Haru recently surprised the public with an unexpected update. According to the music industry on June 8, she was listed as the sole lyricist for “Do Your Dance,” the title track of boy group RIIZE’s second mini album. Previously, she had co-written KiiiKiii’s song “To Me From Me” alongside her father, Tablo. This time, however, Haru earned an individual songwriting credit, proving how much she has grown.

The album credits reportedly list Haru’s full name in English. Having built a familiar and lovable image through The Return of Superman during childhood, she is also said to be diligently preparing for SAT and AP exams, showing impressive dedication to academics alongside her creative pursuits.

Following Haru’s inspiring update, Lee Jae Si, the eldest daughter of former national football player Lee Dong Gook, is also entering an exciting new chapter in her life.

Lee Jae Si, who became known to viewers after appearing on The Return of Superman in 2016, drew major attention in 2024 after being accepted into the State University of New York. She is currently studying fashion business at the prestigious Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT), fully embracing student life in the United States. Since her appearance on the show, she has also worked as a model, steadily building her presence across multiple fields.

In April, Lee Jae Si touched fans by posting a family photo with her youngest brother Si An, captioned simply, “You’ve grown so much.” The emotional post quickly drew reactions from fans, with comments such as, “Has time really passed this quickly?”, “Wasn’t she born in 2007?”, and “She has such a model aura.”

Meanwhile, William, son of broadcaster Sam Hammington, who became one of The Return of Superman’s standout stars in 2017 and earned the nickname “adorable little hero,” is now thriving as an ice hockey player.

Appearing on KBS1’s AM Plaza on May 29, Sam Hammington proudly shared updates about his son, saying, “He has won championships in Australia, Canada, and Korea. He’s been working very hard lately, and he’s doing really well.”

William has indeed proven his remarkable talent, winning championships in three different countries within just three months. His achievements include winning Australia’s Next Gen tournament while also earning MVP and All-Star honors, winning Korea’s I-League Division 2, and claiming victory at Toronto’s May Madness tournament in Canada bringing home an impressive total of four titles.

As these former child stars continue writing their own unique stories on entirely different stages, the growth of The Return of Superman children offers a touching reminder of time passing and leaves longtime viewers deeply moved.
