The warm teamwork between the director and actors of “Broker” drew attention.
“Broker” (directed by Hirokazu Kore-eda), which is scheduled to premiere in Korea on June 8th, is a movie telling about the unexpected and special journey of people who are associated with baby boxes.
The video titled “Broker’s synergy”, which was released on May 31st, showed the actors’ delicate interpretation of their characters for new acting transformations and the warm atmosphere on the set.
Song Kang-ho perfectly immersed himself in the character Sang-hyeon, a self-proclaimed kind broker who wants to find the right person to raise the baby. His presence was expected to firmly support the main theme of the whole story.
Kang Dong-won, who played Sang-hyeon’s partner Dong-soo, and Bae Doo-na, who appeared as Soo-jin, a detective who follows the brokers on their journey, captured the changes in their characters’ emotions through their unique and diverse emotional acting, creating a deep immersion for the viewers.
Above all, Lee Ji-eun, who took on the role of single mother So-young, and Lee Joo-young as Detective Lee, who trusts and follows Soo-jin, who raised expectations for their teaming up with director Hirokazu Kore-eda, also made the viewers look forward to their performances with fresh energy, which is emerging as a new trend in Chungmuro, with their names and real abilities.
In addition, the way the actors generously showed affection for each other and boasted amazing teamwork in a friendly atmosphere at the filming site raised the audiences’ expectations and heralded a unique team through “Broker”.
