Jang Na-ra, who is well-known for her ageless beauty, once revealed the reason why she didn’t think about getting married.
In 2001, actress Jang Na-ra came to prominence in not only the music industry but also in all fields, including dramas and movies, creating the “Jang Na-ra Syndrome” that spread beyond the border of Korea to dominate the China market. 20 years later, many people still admire Jang Na-ra’s unchanging appearance with reactions, such as, “Is she a vampire?”.
In an interview, Jang Na-ra humbly said, “My appearance doesn’t look that young. It might be because of my round face but the facial features themselves are actually made with makeup and skincare. I’m even surprised to see my face when waking up in the morning.”
When asked about her skincare tips, Jang Na-ra said, “My skin will get saggy quickly if I gain weight so I tried not to gain more weight”. She also revealed that she managed her weight by constantly working out, such as doing Pilates.
In October last year, actor Jang Sung-won, Jang Na-ra’s older brother, married a non-celebrity woman.
At that time, Jang Na-ra’s father, Joo Ho-sung said, “I’m hoping that my son’s marriage will motivate my daughter so that she would also think of getting married. I’m full of expectations”.
Jang Na-ra then gave a cool response, saying, “Why did my dad leave a message like this? You don’t have to get married when you reach an age but you can look forward to it. I’m originally not a person who supports non-marriage. I haven’t got married because I’m still busy going here and there. I want to go anywhere I can.” She added, “My life has already been enriched by my brother’s marriage. I wish I could go with something separate from marriage”.
However, Jang Nara has found a man whom she wants to spend the rest of her life with. On June 3, 2022, she announced that she would soon be getting married to a non-celebrity.
