Song Joong Ki expressed his feelings about appearing in “The Youngest Son of a Conglomerate”
On November 17th, a press conference for the JTBC drama “The Youngest Son of a Conglomerate” was held at Fairmont Ambassador Seoul, Yeongdeungpo-gu. Actors Song Joong Ki, Lee Sung Min, Shin Hyun Been and director Jeong Dae Yoon attended the event.
On this day, Song Joong Ki expressed his joy, saying, “It’s been a long time since we’ve had an offline press conference.”
Song Joong Ki said, “In ‘The Youngest Son of a Conglomerate’, I play a dual role, but I did not think of it as two roles in one person, but thought of it as one person.”
He said, “When I first read the script by writer Kim Tae Hee, whom I worked with on ‘Sungkyunkwan Scandal’ once, I had a lot of faith in the writer and the script’s narrative was solid, so I chose to star in the drama.”
Regarding the drama’s most attractive point, he said, “It’s a fantasy drama where imagination is exercised. In the middle of it, from my character’s point of view, the connection between the past and the present is the family, with the keywords ‘Jin Do Joon’s family’ and ‘Yoon Hyun Woo’s family’. The point of being connected as a family came to me as a very big attraction.”
Writer Kim Tae Hee, who proved her writing skills in the dramas “Designated Survivor for 60 Days” and “Sungkyunkwan Scandal”, and new writer Jang Eun Jae were in charge of writing. Director Jeong Dae Yoon, who showed off his directing skills across genres with the dramas “W” and “She Was Pretty”, is also garnering keen attention.
“The Youngest Son of a Conglomerate” is a fantasy drama in which secretary Yoon Hyun Woo (Song Joong Ki), whose job is to manage the risk of a chaebol family, returns to life as Jin Do Joon (Song Joong Ki), the youngest son of the family, and seeks revenge. It will be broadcast for the first time at 10:30 pm KST on November 18th.
