The popular actors Lee Jung-jae and Jung Woo-sung encounter a “red light” in their business

An unfortunate result happens regarding the business that actors Lee Jung-jae and Jung Woo-sung, who are close friends, were pushing for. 

Com2uS Group, which decided to acquire Artist Holdings, an entertainment company founded by Lee Jung-jae and Jung Woo-sung, recently withdrew its decision.

Com2uS subsidiary Wysiwyg Studios announced on May 30th that Com2uS and Wysiwyg Studios have agreed to withdraw their investment in acquiring the management rights of Artist Company. It has been six months since the investment agreement was signed. Com2uS and Wysiwyg Studios originally agreed to invest 25 billion won and 80 billion won, respectively.

The reason for the cancellation of the agreement was, “As a result of reviewing and consulting on optimal partnerships to strengthen global content business capabilities and expand the market, we have decided that it would be more efficient to build independent competitiveness in each business than a cooperative structure through equity investment.”

Lee Jung-jae and Jung Woo-sung co-founded the company in 2016 and produced “The Silent Sea” and “Hunt.” Recently, “Hunt” was officially invited to the 75th Cannes International Film Festival, and Lee Jung-jae and Jung Woo-sung have even visited the event.
