The only female idol that is praised by former girl group members who were ignored by their colleagues
Two former girl group members revealed their encounter with Oh My Girl Seung-hee during their promotion with their former groups.
In June, a video titled “Idols’ real characteristics exposed by former girl group members” was uploaded on the Youtube channel “Nam Min-jung Choi Ji-sun”. The mentioned Youtube channel is operated by Winnie (Min-jung), a former member of the group LIPBUBBLE, and Jiyu (Ji-sun), a former member of the group A-Daily.
Recalling their idol years, the two revealed the personality of their idol colleagues through their encounters on music shows.
Ji-sun said, “I went to a music show once, I saw so many people there but I still said hello to all of them as if I would never be able to say hello again in my entire life. Among those who we introduced their name to, some just seemed to be in a bad mood receiving our greeting.”
She added, “It’s okay to not accept us. But do we really have to go through all of it?”
Min-jung then agreed with Ji-sun before she continued, “I saw an idol in the mirror while washing my hands in the bathroom, so of course I greeted her. But she just kept on cleaning her make-up and glared at me. I was so hurt at that time.”
Ji-sun then said, “That person was “that person”, you know?”, mentioning the person’s real name. Min-jung was surprised, saying, “That person is very famous.”
When Ji-sun shared, “It wasn’t long after she debuted”, Min-jung speculated, “It seems that she already had a strong fan base back then.“
Ji-sun emphasized, “We were the unpopular ones, different from her. But we were even her seniors back then. It’s not that we wanted to be treated specially, but at least shouldn’t she treat us like humans?“
As the revelation continued, Min-jung mentioned Oh My Girl’s Seung-hee, saying, “There’s someone I really want to talk about.“
Min-jung said, “When we were in the waiting room, it was our turn. We performed first then came down from the stage. She greeted us, ‘Hello. You are Pops Pops LIPBUBBLE, right?’ I remembered that she was hyper like the way she appeared on TV shows.“
Ji-sun also mentioned that she went to the same beauty salon with BTS seniors.
Ji-sun confessed, “It was probably around the time they were promoting ‘I NEED U’. All the seniors greeted me without exception. There’s a reason why they’re doing well. I’ve become a fan of BTS since then.“
