The last episode of Shooting Stars ended with a disappointing rating in the range of 1%

The last episode of Shooting Stars couldn’t make a breakthrough and eventually wrapped up with poor performance. 

The 16th episode of tvN’s Friday-Saturday drama “Shooting Stars”, which aired on June 11th, recorded a nationwide rating of 1.5%.

“Shooting Stars”, which started with a viewership of 1.6% in the first episode on April 2nd, struggled in the 1% range throughout 16 episodes. The average rating of the whole series was 1.35% and the highest viewership figure was 1.8%, which was recorded in the second episode.

This drama marked actress Lee Sung-kyung’s first comeback on the small screen two years after SBS’s “Dr. Romantic 2” in 2020, but the result was disappointing.

“Shooting Stars” is a romantic comedy centering around celebrities, managers, public relations teams, and reporters, who struggle at the forefront of the entertainment industry.

In the final episode, a happy ending for all characters was drawn. Oh Han-byul (Lee Sung-kyung), head of the public relations team of an entertainment agency, and top actor Gong Tae-sung (Kim Young-dae) publicized their romantic relationship. Kang Yoo-sung (Yoon Jong-hoon) and Park Ho-young (Kim Yoon-hye) had their first kiss, while Jo Ki-bum (Park So-jin) and Do Soo-hyuk (Lee Jung-shin) developed into lovers.
