“The Good Bad Mother” Ahn Eun Jin, “I’m satisfied with the ending. The passing of Ra Mi Ran’s character holds a great meaning”
Actress Ahn Eun Jin talked about the ending of “The Good Bad Mother”.
On June 9th, Ahn Eun Jin met with OSEN at a cafe in Yeoksam-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, and expressed her feelings about playing Lee Mi Joo in JTBC’s Wed-Thu drama “The Good Bad Mother”, which ended the previous day (June 8th).
“The Good Bad Mother” depicts a touching healing comedy about Young Soon (Ra Mi Ran), who has no choice but to become a bad mother to her child, and her son Kang Ho (Lee Do Hyun), a prosecutor who suddenly returns to be a kid due to an accident, finding the happiness they’ve lost. Recording 3.6% in the first episode, the drama rose steadily in ratings through each episode and ended with the highest rating peak of 12.0%.
Ahn Eun Jin took on the role of Lee Mi Joo, Choi Kang Ho’s childhood friend and his only “resting place”. Embracing deep emotions, Mi Joo is a courageous person who cannot tolerate injustice. Returning to her hometown empty-handed after losing both love and honor, Mi Joo reunites with Choi Kang Ho when his mind already reverted to that of a 7-year-old. Through “The Good Bad Mother”, Ahn Eun Jin once again shone with her solid acting skills and nice personality and gained the public’s trust.
After “The Good Bad Mother” ended, Ahn Eun Jin shared, “I watched the broadcast with my senior actors. I felt nervous in a different way compared to when we watched the first episode together. I talked with senior actress Kang Mal Geum, and we all felt sad and regretful since it was already the last broadcasting week. It was bittersweet and sad. We had a good time enjoying the drama together. I was even happier to wrap up this journey happily with the seniors.”
Regarding the ending, the actress said, “I’m really satisfied with it. The drama ended so happily. Even though Young Soon (Ra Mi Ran) passed away, her passing holds a great meaning. The story that unfolds afterward is filled with beautiful and energetic moments. I think Lee Mi Joo had a happy ending, and I could now say goodbye to her. They would live happily ever after. I enjoyed reading the script of the last episode so much, and since Ye Jin also found a new friend, I think it was a very beautiful ending.”
