“The Glory” viewers point out unsolved stories in Part 2 and show expectations for Season 2
Following the success of Part 1 introduced on December 30th last year, Part 2 of “The Glory” also gained keen attention when it was released on March 10th. In particular, Netflix even experienced a server crash due to the enormous amount of viewers flocking to watch the new episodes.
The newly released Part 2 of “The Glory” depicts the revenge of Moon Dong Eun (Song Hye Kyo) against the school violence perpetrators who try to counterattack, including Park Yeon Jin (Lim Ji Yeon).
After watching Part 2, some drama fans raised speculations that the production team had considered the possibility to have a sequel, pointing out details in the final episode (episode 16).
Viewers mentioned several points in Part 2 of “The Glory,” such as the main cast meeting unexpected characters, the unconfirmed death of some characters, and certain relationships that have been resolved but still leave room for future stories.
As a result, they expressed anticipation for a possible “The Glory” Season 2 to come out following this Part 2.
In the meantime, bad news broke out right ahead of the release of “The Glory” Part 2. PD Ahn Gil Ho has recently been embroiled in a school violence allegation.
According to the revelation from A, the whistleblower, PD Ahn attended a high school in the Philippines in 1996 and dated a female student in the class of A, who was in middle school at that time. A claimed that they were assaulted after teasing PD Ahn’s girlfriend with other classmates. A said they were beaten for two hours by a group of about 10 senior students, including PD Ahn.
PD Ahn then denied the allegation, saying “It is true that I studied in the Philippines for about a year, but I have never been involved in any physical conflict with Korean students”.
Due to this issue, attention is focused on whether writer Kim Eun Sook and PD Ahn Gil Ho will be able to produce a follow-up season to solve the unsettled details and stories in “The Glory” Part 2.
