“The Glory”: luxury brands in Part 1 yet focuses on local brands in Part 2

Not only appreciated for its engaging storyline, “The Glory” is also highly praised for the fashion of the characters in the show. However, while Part 1 of the series shocked viewers with a series of luxurious high-end brands, Part 2’s fashion took a different turn, clearly showing the fate of the main characters.

Of course, luxury items still appear in Part 2 of “The Glory”, but with much less frequency compared to Part 1. Instead, Korean local brands seem to have taken the spotlight.

“The Glory” Part 2

Vivienne Westwood is one of the few luxury brands worn by “villainess” Park Yeon Jin in Part 2. She wears the brand’s clothing and accessories in the first few episodes, with prices ranging from 500 to over 1000 USD. Notably, Vivienne Westwood’s famous pearl necklace design is also promoted by this character.

However, for the majority of the show, Park Jeon Jin donned numerous items from Korea local brands MOJO.S.PHINE, Shaclara, Mudidi, Dint and so on. Mid-end brands, such as Jinny Kim, were also featured, with most items priced from 38 USD to 600 USD. Many people believe that this choice of style was to depict the “downfall” of “The Glory” major villain.

Park Yeon Jin’s collection of designer bags continues to draw attention in Part 2. Although she wears less expensive clothing, her handbags are always high-end pieces from Gucci, Dior, and Tom Ford, with prices ranging 2000 USD to 6000 USD. However, some of these bags had already appeared in Part 1.

Lee Sa Ra and Jeon Jae Joon occasionally flaunted luxury items from Versace and Chanel.

Signature trench coats worn by female lead Moon Dong Eun (Song Hye Kyo) cost around 300 USD.

Summer clothes adorned by this character is also relatively mid-priced

“The Glory” Part 2

A stark difference can be seen in “The Glory” Part 1, with characters using luxury bags and jewelries that sell for thousands of dollars, from brands like Valentino, Fendi, Dior, and Chaumet.

Jeon Jae Joon, a major male villain, also wore high-end items from Fendi, Gucci, Balmain, and Versace.
