“The Glory” cast reacts to Part 2 theories: True or false?

With the release of Part 2 of “The Glory” on March 10 approaching, the cast members recently sat down together to discuss predictions from viewers.

While discussing the theories, the five actors, Kim Gun Woo, Kim Hieora, Park Sung Hoon, Cha Joo Young, and Jung Sung Il, were surprised by some of the sharp and accurate predictions from viewers. Let’s find out what they talked about?

The Glory 2

Son Myung Oh is alive, not dead

Whether Son Myung Oh is alive or dead raises the most curiosity. Kim Gun Woo, who plays Son Myung Oh, also expressed his curiosity about this prediction, saying he also wanted his character to be alive.

The Glory 2

Moon Dong Eun will live happily after achieving all her revenge goals and losing her memory

Moon Dong Eun’s life has been all about taking revenge. She has never been happy in the past or present. So, there is a prediction that she would forget the difficult memories after accomplishing her perfect revenge and live happily for the rest of her life. Kim Hieora, who plays Lee Sara, personally agreed that it would be a good ending.

The Glory 2

It was Dong Eun who died in high school, and So Hee is taking Dong Eun’s identity to take revenge

The actors were surprised by the incredible imagination of viewers who came up with this theory. Park Sung Hoon, who plays Jeon Jae Joon, said it was too far-fetched, and shut down this theory.

Moon Dong Eun and Ha Do Young will become a couple in Part 2?

The actors revealed that they had seen many posts supporting the Dong Eun – Do Young couple. Jung Sung Il, who plays Ha Do Young, answered the question by saying, “I don’t know, maybe it will happen?

Will Park Yeon Jin’s DNA obtained from plastic surgery at Joo Yeo Jeong’s clinic prove a crime?

It is speculated that Park Yeon Jin, who is shown lying on Joo Yeo Jeong’s plastic surgery table in the trailer, will not only collect Park Yeon Jin’s DNA but also leave scars on her body like what she did to Moon Dong Eun. However, Kim Gun Woo added that if he were Joo Yeo Jeong, he would take revenge in a smarter way rather than revenge equally.

The Glory 2

The direction of the morning glory flowers and the actors’ gazes in the posters

In the previously released Part 1 posters, it was speculated that since the villains were looking up at yellow morning glory flowers, and the protagonists were looking down at white morning glory flowers, the posters were implying their respective fates.

The Glory 2

The actors themselves did not know about this detail when the posters were first released, and they also found it very interesting that Ha Do Young’s gaze was unclear.

Ha Do Young knows that Ye Sol is not his biological daughter due to his infertility

Kim Hieora commented that if Park Yeon Jin knew about this fact and still used Jeon Jae Joon, he would be truly pitiful. Jung Sung Il also showed empathy towards Ha Do Young, saying that even if he knew that Yesol was not his biological daughter, he was still the one raising her and thus could not abandon her.

The Glory 2

The only character whose name does not contain the letter ‘ㅇ’ is Jeon Jae Joon

All the characters’ names in Hangul, including Moon Dong Eun (문동은) and her accomplices Kang Hyeon Nam (강현남) and Joo Yeo Jeong (주여정), as well as Park Yeon Jin (박연진) and Ha Do Young (하도영), contain the letter ‘ㅇ’, except for Jeon Jae Joon (전재준). Some speculated that this was because he would ultimately be the one to side with Park Yeon Jin until the end.

However, Cha Joo Young, who plays Choi Hye Jeong, suggested that not everything necessarily had meaning, recalling Kim Eun Sook’s remark that “not every detail has significance.” She added that it could just be a narrative device.

Will Moon Dong Eun eventually forgive everything?

The actors drew a clear line and stated that they were not certain about this. They argued that if Moon Dong Eun was going to forgive everything, she wouldn’t have spent so much time and effort preparing for revenge. They also firmly stated, “School violence is a deed that can never be forgiven“.

However, if the story of revenge continues to expand, “The Glory” can potentially turn into a multi-season series that depicts Ye Sol and Moon Dong Eun’s child vowing revenge again. Park Sung Hoon joked that the series could go up to 120 seasons.
