The current situation on the Youtube channel of Henry, who left “I Live Alone” and returned to China, shocked Korean netizens
Comments disparaging China and Chinese people are being deleted in real-time on the Youtube channel of Henry.
On February 20th, an article titled, “The current situation of comments on Henry’s Youtube”, was posted on the online community FM Korea. According to the article, many comments full of awkward translation sentences were posted on Henry’s Youtube channel.
In the comment section, sentences disparaging Koreans, such as referring Korea as a subordinate country to China, were seen. However, comments criticizing China and Chinese people were deleted immediately after they were posted.
Comments downgrading Chinese netizens continued to be posted until the morning of February 21st but were all deleted.
Earlier on October 1st last year, Henry uploaded a violin performance video on his Weibo celebrating a national holiday of China. The title of the song he performed was “I Love China”.
In addition, seeing Henry wear a mask with the phrase “I love China” when he arrived at Chengdu Airport in China to hold a concert, Korean netizens poured out criticism and expressed their disappointment towards the singer.
