The court approved Attrakt’s request for the seizure of copyright royalties belonging to The Givers’ Ahn Sung-il

The court approved Attrakt (CEO Jeon Hong-joon)’s request for the seizure of copyright royalties belonging to The Givers’ Ahn Sung-il in response to allegations of embezzlement

On Sep 25th, FIFTY FIFTY’s agency Attrakt shared that they discovered evidence of embezzlement by The Givers’ Ahn Sung-il while he was working on Attrakt’s contract work. Accordingly, Attrakt applied for a copyright royalty seizure for a portion of the total embezzled amount, and this request was accepted by the court.

Currently, payment of Ahn Sung-il’s copyright royalties regarding FIFTY FIFTY’s debut album “THE FIFTY” and “The Beginning: Cupid” registered with the Korea Music Copyright Association has been halted. Additionally, Attrakt plans to apply for further seizures for the remaining amounts related to Ahn Sung-il’s embezzlement and misappropriation, which have recently come to light.

Attrakt is currently engaged in civil and criminal lawsuits against Ahn Sung-il and other The Givers officials. This is significant as it is the court’s first ruling regarding Ahn Sung-il’s illegal acts.

Meanwhile, apart from the legal disputes, Attrakt is also preparing for a new girl group project, separate from FIFTY FIFTY’s exclusive contract termination application.
