On June 3, THE BOYZ’s member Younghoon wrote on a fan communication platform: “I was watching TV today, and something interesting came on. I’m glad it seems more people are able to know about it now. I hope everything gets resolved well for all the victims.”

The timing immediately caught attention. The post came one day after MBC’s “PD Note” aired the episode “MC Mong and the Chairman’s K-pop Business Secrets,” which covered allegations involving Cha Ga Won, head of ONE HUNDRED Label, and co-founder MC Mong.

The broadcast raised several allegations, including affair rumors, suspected private misuse of company funds, and alleged issues involving jeonse contracts connected to artists such as Lee Seung Gi and Baekhyun.

MC Mong strongly denied the claims. During a live broadcast on June 3, he argued that “PD Note” should have verified the truth with him directly. He also denied the Las Vegas-related suspicions, saying company executives and staff members were present on the trip. “If it were a secret romantic trip, why would all the staff go?”

He also warned of strong legal action if articles based on allegedly fabricated messages are not removed. Younghoon’s post drew even more attention because THE BOYZ is currently in a contract dispute with ONE HUNDRED Label. In February, the group notified the agency of contract termination, citing unpaid settlements and a breakdown of trust. Last month, the court accepted the members’ injunction request to suspend the validity of their exclusive contracts, giving THE BOYZ an early legal advantage.

However, ONE HUNDRED Label denied the group’s claims, arguing that the artists had seriously distorted the core issue. The agency stated that it had already paid all 11 members an exclusive contract fee of 1.5 billion KRW each, totaling 16.5 billion KRW, and claimed that if the contracts are terminated, the remaining portion should be returned.

Because of the ongoing dispute, Younghoon’s short message quickly became a hot topic. While he did not mention MC Mong, Cha Ga Won, or ONE HUNDRED Label directly, many netizens believe the timing and wording were not accidental.
