Jeon Hye-won appeared with a unique hairstyle which used to be a trend in the 90s and led the pleasant conversations in the drama. Excellently portraying a playful high school student who was scolded by her homeroom teacher for her clothes and punished for carrying too many cosmetics and makeup tools to school, Jeon Hye-won helped the viewers recall the familiar emotions and memories of their school days. Jeon Hye-won’s humorous expressions and gestures when performing her chemistry with other friends Bo-ra and Madam (Yoon Yi-re) also added more fun to the watching of “20th Century Girl”.

Apart from “20th Century Girl”, Jeon Hye-won also challenged her first historical drama acting through tvN’s Saturday-Sunday series “The Queen’s Umbrella” and impressed many audiences with a completely different image from those in her previous works. “The Queen’s Umbrella” tells the struggles that Queen Im Hwa-ryeong (Kim Hye-soo) faces when she enters the fierce royal education war for the sake of her troublemaker princes. Jeon Hye-won played Cho-wol, a friend of Queen Hwa-ryeong’s third son Grand Prince Muan (Yoon Sang-hyun).

Jeon Hye-won left a strong impression from her very first appearance as Cho-wol, who spent the whole night drinking and sleeping under the same blanket with Grand Prince Muan and then faced the rage of Queen Hwa-ryeong. Keeping her promise to Queen Hwa-ryeong, Cho-wol refused to meet Grand Prince Muan, who came to visit her the next days. However, the scene showing Cho-wol carefully taking care of the letters and books left by Grand Prince Muan raised the viewers’ curiosity about the future of the two. Unlike the bright characteristic of Grand Prince Muan, the behaviors and eyes of Cho-wol, which are mature and elegant, also make drama fans look forward to the harmony between the two characters in the next episodes.
