Taxi Driver Season 2 to come back in the first half of next year… The full main cast Lee Je-hoon, Kim Eui-sung, and Pyo Ye-jin will reunite

Hit drama “Taxi Driver”, starring Lee Je-hoon, has confirmed the production of Season 2.

SBS said on June 9th, “‘Taxi Driver’, which received huge love from the viewers, will launch Season 2. The production will soon begin in earnest with an aim to air the drama in the first half of next year”. Accordingly, all the main character actors who appeared in the previous season, including Lee Je-hoon, Kim Eui-sung, Pyo Ye-jin, Jang Hyuk-jin, and Bae Yoo-ram, have decided to join Season 2.

Lee Je-hoon, who played the role of Kim Do-gi, the representative driver of Rainbow Taxi Company, and created the “God Do-gi Syndrome”, and Kim Eui-sung, who showed off his solid acting skills as CEO of Rainbow Taxi Company – Jang Sung-chul, will greet the audience again.

Pyo Ye-jin, who received favorable reviews for perfectly portraying Go-eun, the hacker of Rainbow Taxi Company, as well as Jang Hyuk-jin and Bae Yoo-ram, who appeared as the scene stealers with their transformation as the mechanic duo, Choi manager and Park manager, will reunite with Lee Je-hoon and Kim Eui-sung in the new season. Expectations are high for new performances of these major character actors. 

The production of “Taxi Driver 2” said, “We are fully prepared to present a more interesting and in-depth Season 2 and the viewers to repay their love for Season 1. Meanwhile, “Taxi Driver”, which aired last year, is an action-crime drama based on a webtoon of the same name. It tells stories centering around people of the Rainbow Taxi Company who secretly take revenge on behalf of victims who are not protected by the law, the perpetrators they chase, and the powers chasing them.

With an unprecedented concept of taxi drivers who hunt villains, “Taxi Driver” captivated the viewers with its unique and dynamic fun which cannot be seen in other action-crime dramas as well as the thrilling catharsis of killing evils. 

“Taxi Driver” became a hit work as it ranked 4th in the history of SBS’s Friday-Saturday dramas by recording a nationwide viewership of 16.0% and a peak rating of 18.6%.
