Aired on November 21 at 9:50 PM KST, the first episode reintroduced viewers to the beloved “Rainbow Five” Kim Do Gi (Lee Je Hoon), Jang Sung Chul (Kim Eui Sung), Ahn Go Eun (Pyo Ye Jin), Choi Kyung Ku (Jang Hyuk Jin), and Park Jin Eon (Bae Yoo Ram) as they embark on a dangerous mission to rescue a kidnapped high school girl, Yoon Yi Seo (Cha Si Yeon), held captive by a Japanese crime syndicate.
From the get-go, the show didn’t hold back. The premiere episode peaked at 11.1% in viewership ratings, with a Seoul capital area rating of 9.9%, and peaked at 3.13% in the 2049 (viewers aged 20~49) demographic, the highest for any mini-series across all networks in 2025 to date, according to Nielsen Korea.

The chemistry among the cast Lee Je Hoon, Kim Eui Sung, Pyo Ye Jin, Jang Hyuk Jin, and Bae Yoo Ram remained unmatched. The global scale, dynamic editing, and guest appearance by acclaimed Japanese actor Kasamatsu Sho as the episode villain added layers of intensity.
Fans flooded social media after the broadcast with comments like: “My heart exploded hearing the BGM Taxi Driver is finally back!”, “An hour felt like 10 minutes. That’s how good it was,” and “Season 3 is on a whole new scale. Can’t wait for the next episode.”

Based on the popular webtoon, Taxi Driver follows the secretive Rainbow Taxi Company as they deliver vigilante justice for victims failed by the system. Episode 2 will air tonight, November 22, at 9:50 PM KST.
