Ivy Hsia has become one of the most talked-about actresses in Taiwan this Christmas—quite literally. On the morning of December 25, leading entertainment outlets were flooded with videos showing her flirting, touching, and sharing intimate hugs and kisses with a rich heir who is married with children. The footage was reportedly recorded around 1 a.m. on November 12 at a nightclub in the Zhongshan District of Taipei.

“At first glance, it looks like the sweet beginning of a romance between a handsome man and a beautiful woman. But the truth is that the man is already married,” CTwant wrote sarcastically. “His social media is filled with happy family photos, yet behind the scenes he was embracing a showbiz beauty.” Soon after, Ivy Hsia accused of being a “third party” shot to the top of social media trending searches as netizens rushed to uncover her profile.

According to Sohu, Ivy Hsia was born in 1993 and is a well-known actress and model in Taiwan’s entertainment scene. She entered show business at the age of 18 and quickly gained attention for her striking and glamorous looks.

Her popularity grew after she starred in several prime-time television dramas, establishing her as a familiar face among TV audiences.

Before the current scandal, Ivy Hsia was admired for her six-year relationship with singer-actor GINO. The couple broke up in 2023, after which her love life reportedly became turbulent. She was frequently seen partying at bars, a lifestyle that gradually damaged her public image.

China Times reported that Ivy Hsia has struggled with heavy drinking and tends to lose control when intoxicated. In April, she was caught on camera getting drunk and openly hugging and kissing veteran singer Sam Lee, known as the “Prince of Love Songs,” who is 52. Although the incident caused public discussion, it did not escalate into a major scandal because both were single at the time. Ivy Hsia later denied dating Lee and apologized, expressing regret over her inappropriate behavior while drunk and promising to quit drinking.

However, she failed to follow through on that promise and continued her party-heavy lifestyle. The situation reached a breaking point with the Christmas scandal. The man involved is reportedly a third-generation heir of a wealthy family, educated overseas and well-connected with celebrities. His identity has not yet been publicly disclosed.

After the intimate video spread online, both parties faced severe public backlash. Ivy Hsia, in particular, was heavily criticized for allegedly engaging in an inappropriate relationship with a married man and being labeled a “homewrecker.”

Amid growing public condemnation, Ivy Hsia issued an apology, firmly denying that she was a third party or that she had a romantic relationship with the married heir. She explained that both of them were guests at a party hosted by a mutual friend and had consumed excessive alcohol, leading to inappropriate behavior. Acknowledging her mistake, she apologized to everyone affected.

“I sincerely apologize to all those who were negatively impacted or hurt by this incident,” she wrote on her personal social media account. “I have always respected the values of marriage and family. I will seriously reflect on myself and act more cautiously to ensure such misunderstandings never happen again.”

According to insiders, Ivy Hsia’s mother was furious after the video went viral, scolding her daughter relentlessly. The family reportedly feels deeply embarrassed by the actress’s indulgent lifestyle. Her mother now hopes that Ivy Hsia will give up alcohol, protect her public image, and regain stability in order to continue her career in the entertainment industry.
