NCT 127’s leader Taeyong shared about his driving forces.
On Sep 16th, a press conference was held to commemorate the latest album release of NCT 127 (Taeil, Johnny, Taeyong, Yuta, Doyoung, Jaehyun, Winwin, Mark, Haechan, Jungwoo) at Sofitel Ambassador Seoul Hotel in Songpa-gu, Seoul. The event was hosted by Jae-jae.
The title song “2 Baddies” is a hip-hop dance song with a message about running forward while holding dearly onto things that are precious to them. The music video also uses a car as the main object in line with the song’s Korean title (which is “Racing”), as well as colorful lighting, kinetic elements, and colorful CG.
In addition, the album has 12 tracks of different genres, including “Faster”, “Time Lapse”, “Crash Landing”, “Designer”, “Gold Dust”, “Black Clouds”, “Playback”, “Tasty (貘)”’, “Vitamin”, “LOL (Laugh-Out-Loud)”, “1, 2, 7 (Time Stops)”.
At the press conference, Doyoung said, “Today we will meet with 10,000 fans. This is our first time experiencing something like this in Korea. I am really looking forward to the fanchant. As most of the performances we gonna show have never been shown before, we are full of anticipation and excitement.”
Taeyong then talked about NCT’s aspirations. He said, “Aspiration is one of the things I was very worried about when I first started this job. The first thing was to have fun. We should have fun on stage, and in order to be happy when we are with our fans, we need to have fun on stage.”
He added, “I want to become a team that lasts for a long time. I think our relationship with our fans is the driving force behind it. I want to use the word “racing” to tell our fans, ‘Let’s race forward together for 20 to 30 years more’.”
All songs of the “2 BADDIES” album, where NCT 127’s powerful leap will unfold, will be released on various music sites at 1 pm (KST). NCT 127 will hold a large-scale comeback show with 10,000 audiences to celebrate the release of their 4th full album at 8 pm on the same day at the 7th hall of Kintex 2 exhibition hall in Ilsan.
