Girls’ Generation Taeyeon showed the highest album sales among female solo singers over the past 10 years.
According to Gaon Chart‘s 10-year cumulative album sales data, Taeyeon recorded the highest album sales among female solo singers with a total of 1,051,567 copies.
This data is compiled by summing up the accumulated album sales data (from January 2011 to November 2021) of singers who debuted in and after 2011 on Gaon Chart. After debuting as a solo artist with the first mini-album “I”, Taeyeon respectively released the second mini-album “Why”, the first full album “My Voice”, the third mini-album “Something New”, the second full album “Purpose” and the fourth mini-album “What Do I Call You”.
Meanwhile, Taeyeon will pre-release the single “Can’t Control Myself” on January 17th and release her third full album in February.
