“Tactician Kwon Min Woo” of “Extraordinary Attorney Woo” has a doppelganger who works as a comedian 

Netizens pointed out the uncanny resemblances between Kwon Min Woo in “Extraordinary Attorney Woo” and a male comedian. 

Recently, in various Korean forums and SNS, a post titled “The person who comes to mind every time I see Tactician Kwon Min Woo”, has been drawing attention. The post contains a photo of “Extraordinary Attorney Woo” character Kwon Min Woo with a beard drawn around his mouth. The original poster explained that they only drew a beard on Kwon Min Woo’s face, but ended up thinking about comedian Yang Se Chan, who is a fixed cast member of famous TV show “Running Man”. 

Previously, when Yang Se Chan appeared in tvN’s “Comedy Big League”, he played a gag character who had a face super similar to that of Kwon Min Woo. Both of them shared similar eye shapes with double eyelids, nose bridge, and mouth structure.

Actor Joo Jong Hyuk, who assumes the role of Kwon Min Woo in “Extraordinary Attorney Woo”, made his acting debut in the 2015 short film “Mongma” in 2015, and have since been slowly making his name known via appearances in Netflix’s original series “D.P”, TVING’s “Happiness” and “Yumi’s Cells”, as well as various others, before becoming famous with hit drama “Extraordinary Attorney Woo”.

Before appearing in these works, Joo Jong Hyuk participated in an audition for new actors held by Kakao M in 2019. Through this audition, he signed an exclusive contract with BH Entertainment in 2020, surpassing over 700 other competitors.
