Suzy, who had been quiet after the end of Coupang Play’s drama “Anna”, delivered good news.

Singer-actress Suzy (Bae Suzy) donated 100 million won for the victims who lost their homes due to torrential downpours.

Suzy’s good deed was announced on August 12th through the Hope Bridge Korea Disaster Relief Association (Chairman Song Pil-ho).

According to the association, on August 11th, Suzy donated 100 million won to help the local residents affected by torrential rain mainly in the central region.

Secretary-General Kim Jung-hee said, “We deeply appreciate the dedication and help of Suzy, who encourages broken-hearted local residents.”

She then added, “We will do our best to ensure that her warm touch is fully delivered to victims.”

Suzy, a member of the Hope Bridge Honors Club, a group of major donors, willingly donated 100 million won each during the forest fire in Gangwon Province in 2019 and flood damage in 2020.

Meanwhile, as local residents suffered heavy rain from August 8th, several celebrities, including Suzy, reached out a helping hand.

Comedians Park Na-rae and Yoo Byung-jae donated 10 million won, Oh My Girl Arin donated 20 million won, and actress Kim Go-eun donated 50 million won.

Broadcaster Yoo Jae-suk and singer Psy also donated 100 million won each.

The collected donations will be used to recover victims’ damages, including relief good expenses and housing support expenses.
