On September 23, the YouTube channel “Jo Hyun-ah’s Common Thursday Night” released a video titled “A Beginner YouTuber Meets a Power Celebrity Part.1.” During the conversation, host Jo Hyun-ah expressed gratitude to Suzy, saying, “I’m so thankful for Suzy because she always protects my confidence and self-esteem. Whenever I tell her that someone said something hurtful, Suzy always says, ‘Unnie (sister)! That person is weird! Why would they say that?’ You always cheer me up.”
Suzy responded candidly, “Well, that person really is weird.” When asked if she had any recent realizations in life or work, Suzy replied, “Lately, the thought I have most often is ‘because we’re human.’ I think, ‘They acted that way because they’re human.’ If someone gets irritated, we might think, ‘What’s wrong with them?’ But when you really think about it, that person probably had something going on in their life. That’s what I remind myself.”
She went on to explain, “I rarely get angry. I’ve never been the type to hold a lot of anger. That’s why I don’t really have many reasons to be upset. I always feel warmth from people like Hyun-ah. Warm-hearted people have strength because, in the end, people naturally gravitate toward kindness.”
