Suzy Dons Hanbok Elegance, Shares Excitement for Starring in Kim Eun-sook’s New Drama

Suzy’s new hanbok pictorial has been revealed

To welcome the New Year, Suzy adorned the cover of the January issue of the fashion magazine Elle, dressed in traditional hanbok.

Since the founding of Elle in 1992, this marks the first time a hanbok pictorial has appeared on the cover. Suzy collaborated with six Korean hanbok companies in partnership with the Korean Craft and Design Culture Promotion Institute.

She shared her thoughts on the shoot, “Wearing hanbok created by various designers for me makes me feel closer to hanbok. I hope it helps promote hanbok widely.”

Suzy, who has worked across various fields like music and acting, expressed her long-term motivation: “The passion that emerges when I concentrate is my driving force. The fact that I am consistently doing something pours my passion and heart into it. In the past, I used to get hurt by evaluations, but now I’ve realized that how I perceive them is more important.”

Editing her YouTube vlogs herself, Suzy revealed, “Since they are casual videos, I felt I could shoot and edit them myself. It seems to bring fans a more personal and intimate feeling.”

Welcoming 2024, Suzy shared her plans: “I want to take a closer look at my body and health and take care of myself a bit more.”

Regarding the upcoming filming for writer Kim Eun-sook’s new drama, Suzy said, “Before diving into the shoot, I plan to rest well and prepare. I want to enjoy it interestingly and happily.”

After receiving much love in the second half of 2023 for the Netflix series ‘Doona!,’ Suzy is gearing up for the new drama ‘It Will All Come True,’ written by Kim Eun-sook and starring Kim Woo-bin. Some parts of this cover pictorial will be revealed through the New York Times Square billboard video on December 24th.
