Sunmi clarifies recent remark about former agency JYP “I don’t target them, I’m close to J. Y. Park and Sohee”

Sunmi clarified that her recent remark about her former agency JYP Entertainment (hereafter JYP) was just a joke

Sunmi appeared as a guest on the Oct 23rd broadcast of KBS CoolFM’s “Park Myung-soo’s Radio Show”.

Park Myung-soo asked, “Recently, there was an article saying, ‘Sunmi targets JYP, having large size doesn’t mean it has a good system.’ Are you dissatisfied with JYP?” Sunmi replied, “Not at all.”

She then stated, “I really want to clarify this.” Sunmi explained, “I appeared on GOT7 BamBam’s YouTube channel. Both of us worked under JYP, and we’re currently in the same company.”

She emphasized, “While we were talking, BamBam said, ‘(The current company) is great. The system has been formed, so I feel more comfortable to work.’ So, I responded ‘That’s right. Having large size doesn’t mean it has a good system’ as a joke.”

Sunmi added, “If you were to ask me who my closest friends are, it’s PD J. Y. Park and Sohee. I target what? I just said it as a joke.“

Meanwhile, Sunmi and BamBam are both former JYP Entertainment artists and are currently under Abyss Company.
