According to MyDaily’s report on February 6, Sul Kyung Gu has officially decided to join the cast of Moving 2, further raising expectations for the next season of the blockbuster series.
Sul Kyung Gu will take on a brand-new character who did not appear in the first season, playing a key role in leading Season 2. After starring in Disney+’s Hyper Knife last year, he continues his collaboration with the global streaming platform. Following the completion of the occult film The Rock with Jeon Jong Seo, Sul Kyung Gu is scheduled to begin filming Moving 2 this summer.

Moving is based on the popular webtoon of the same name by Kang Full. The first season aired 20 episodes starting in August 2023 and told the story of children living in the present while hiding their superpowers, and parents who have concealed painful secrets from the past, as they come together across generations to face an overwhelming threat. The series was praised for opening a new chapter in Korean-style superhero storytelling and played a major role in elevating Disney+’s presence in the Korean market.

Season 1 ranked No. 1 in first-week viewing hours among Korean original content on Disney+ worldwide and on Hulu in the United States. The finale recorded more than three times the viewing hours compared to its premiere week, making Moving the most-watched local (Korean) series globally on the platform.
Season 2 will be directed by Kim Sung Hoon of Netflix’s Kingdom series. Alongside returning cast members Han Hyo Joo, Jo In Sung, Go Youn Jung, and Kim Do Hoon, the new season will also feature Sul Kyung Gu, Yum Jung Ah, and Roh Yoon Seo. Casting is nearing completion, with filming targeted to begin in June.
