Appearing recently on Yoo Yeon Seok’s YouTube channel Weekend Yeonseok Theater, Lee Chung Ah talked about her experience while filming the drama Honour. She disclosed that in August last year, just ahead of full-scale filming, she was involved in a traffic accident that significantly affected her health.

“I had already missed the golden time to receive treatment,” she explained. “At first, my hip joint hurt, but the pain gradually spread to my lower back and even up to my neck.” She added that the injury to her hip joint remains her biggest concern.

Lee Chung Ah shared that she has become deeply invested in rehabilitation, saying, “I’ve looked up more than 100 pieces of content related to rehab exercises. When I walk normally, it’s fine, but I feel pain when I rotate my body. I realized how important the hip joint is it’s the largest joint in our body and plays a crucial role so now I make sure to do related exercises in my daily life.”

She also noted that the nature of her character required frequent action scenes and wearing high heels, which added strain to her condition. “These days, I wear heels less, so it’s much more comfortable,” she said. “Once filming is over, I honestly just want to rest and do nothing.”

Through her honest remarks, Lee Chung Ah highlighted the often unseen physical toll actors face behind the scenes, as well as the importance of timely medical care after injuries.
