Famous Kpop girl group IVE is expected to heat up the Kpop scene in August
On July 18th, Starship Entertainment confirmed that their girl group IVE (Jang Wonyoung, Ahn Yujin, Rei, Leeseo, Liz, Gaeul) is making a comeback in August. “IVE is preparing hard for their August comeback”, the agency said.
This is IVE’s first comeback in 4 months, after their second single “LOVE DIVE”, which was released back on April 5. The group has been gaining attention since their debut with the single “ELEVEN”, released back in December last year.
Across their career, IVE have swept through various domestic and foregin music charts, proving their immense popularity and earning the title of a “monster rookie”.
Despite having concluded their promotions for “LOVE DIVE” on May 1st, IVE is still breaking records with this hit single. In particular, “LOVE DIVE” recently became the 2nd song of IVE to surpass 100 million streams on the music platform Spotify, and was selected as one of the best Kpop songs and albums by American magazine Time.
Recently, “LOVE DIVE” also won first place on the 17th July episode of SBS music show “Inkigayo”, marking the song’s 10th win, including a “triple crown” (first place for three consecutive weeks on a music show).
