During an interview with fashion magazine Vogue in 2019, singer-actress Suzy expressed her interest in video editing and mentioned her desire to create a beauty online channel. Following this, on September 26th, 2022, she launched her own video channel called “suzy”, sharing her daily life with fans.
Starting with a Sweden travel video on October 4th, 2022, Suzy has delighted her fans with a wholesome concept. Within just 5 hours of posting the first video, she gained a whopping 67,000 subscribers. A year later, she amassed 390,000 subscribers.
Suzy mentioned that it takes her 2 months to edit a single video but expressed that she enjoys it the most when editing cuts, showing her professionalism.
Another talented star in this regard is Davichi’s Kang Min-kyung.
She started her online channel “Kyang Ming Kyung” on November 7th, 2018, and currently boasts 1.25 million subscribers. Kang Min-kyung posts videos about introducing her home and covers of songs with her fellow group member Lee Hae-ri. She received significant attention and even made it to the “Top 10 Most-Watched Videos Of 2022 In Korea”.
Kang Min-kyung uses her travel time for event schedules to do editing. Initially, she didn’t include ads in her videos but later applied for profit generation and donated all the income from videos, earning praise.
The last featured personality is Oh My Girl’s Mimi. She manages the channel “Mim PD”, which she started on March 24th, 2019, primarily focusing on vlogs and mukbang ASMR videos.
Despite being part of a girl group, Mimi films in her natural state and presents an approachable, unadorned image to fans. With 510,000 subscribers, she stated that she receives no help from her company, which allows her to keep all the operating income to herself. She further shared that her channel has grown to the point where she has formed a team, displaying her exceptional passion for this endeavor.
