Stars Become Victims Of Indiscriminate Rumors Following G-Dragon’s Drug Scandals

Innocent stars have been caught up in drug rumors in the aftermath of the recent series of drug controversies.

On October 26th, Source Music refuted drug rumors surrounding LE SSERAFIM’s Kim Chae-won, saying “They are not true at all. She is recovering from the aftereffects of the flu and will resume activities starting from November 1st”.

Kim Chae-won has been taking a break after being diagnosed with Type A flu. As the entertainment industry has been shocked by continuous drug scandals, some people even raised false rumors based on her long hiatus.

Park Seon-joo also had a hard time due to drug rumors. On the same day, her agency released a statement, confirming that all the rumors are malicious and groundless.

(G)I-DLE’s Soyeon was also mentioned. As soon as rumors spread, CUBE Entertainment denied them all and announced strong legal action.

BTS suffered rumors of being involved in the luxury hostess bar that actor Lee Sun-kyun, who is under a drug investigation, visited. In response, Big Hit Music showed a fierce reaction, saying “BTS has nothing to do with it”.

In fact, even before recent issues, several celebrities already faced similar fake news. BLACKPINK’s Rosé was also accused of smoking and taking drugs due to the appearance of an ashtray in a group photo she took with a brand’s creative director.

Meanwhile, the police recently booked Lee Sun-kyun and G-Dragon on charges of violating the Narcotics Control Act. Both Lee Sun-kyun and G-Dragon were found to have connections with B, the director of a luxury hostess bar.

The current confusion in the entertainment industry caused innocent people to suddenly suffer damage. Kim Chae-won, BTS, Soyeon and others, whose names were mentioned in the spread of indiscriminate rumors, eventually had to react strongly.
