Actor Oh Young-soo became the first Korean actor in history to win Best Supporting Actor in TV category at the 79th Golden Globe Awards held on January 10 for his performance in Netflix’s hit Squid Game. Oh Young-soo, who is up for Best Supporting Actor for the third time this year, beat out prominent nominees such as Kiera Culkin of ‘Succession‘, Billy Crudup and Mark Duplass of ‘The Morning Show‘, and Brett Goldstein of ‘Ted Lasso‘.

Meanwhile, actor Lee Jung-jae, who was nominated for Best Actor in a Drama TV series at this year’s Golden Globe Award, unfortunately failed to win. The winner of this important category is Jeremy Strong in ‘Succession‘.
