Jung Ho-yeon, who became successful as an actress after playing the female protagonist in the Netflix drama “Squid Game,” recently participated in the campaign “Vote for Korea: Vote well and pick well.”

The campaign was designed to encourage voters to vote ahead of Korea’s 20th presidential election to be held on the 9th of next month. With the aim of exercising the right to vote, which is the right of Korean people, it is a meaningful project in which all celebrities across the generation participated with a pure will to participate in the vote.

Participants challenged themselves with the “picking a ticket mark game” (similar to the Dalgona game in “Squid Game”) placed in the voting gift set box prepared by the organizer. Jung Ho-yeon was surprised by the mission and said, “I failed every time I did it (the Dalgona game). I don’t think I’m good at it, but I’ll try to succeed today,” she said.

Jung Ho-yeon was recently nominated for the Outstanding Performance By A Female Actor In A Drama Series, which is the grand prize in the 2022 Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards. Regarding this, she smiled, saying, “I was surprised and shocked because I wasn’t looking forward to it.”

Regarding the reason for participating in the campaign to encourage voting despite her busy schedule, Jung Ho-yeon said, “I think voting is a must-exercise right because of our responsibility for the next generation.” “I hope everyone picks well and makes good choices,” she said.

Jung Ho-yeon also said, “I think I am living to give a better life with a sense of responsibility for the next generation. Voting is taking responsibility for the next generation,” she stressed.
