“Squid Game” Jung Ho Yeon hailed as a best-dressed actress on the Emmy Awards’ red carpet

Actress Jung Ho Yeon was selected as the best-dressed at the 74th Emmy Awards 

On September 13th (Korea time), actress Jung Ho Yeon attended the 74th Emmy Awards, which was held at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles (LA), USA, and drew attention with her global star-like attitude from the red carpet to the awards. 

In an interview with the US media “E! News”, Jung Ho Yeon said, “(attending the Emmys) is really unbelievable, and it still doesn’t seem to feel real. I’m trying to really enjoy my day today and capture it in my memory.” 

On this day, Jung Ho Yeon strode on the Emmys’ red carpet with a classic and sophisticated look. The dress, hairpiece, and bag of Jung Ho Yeon were all custom-made for her Emmy appearance by luxury designer house Louis Vuitton, where she is working as a global ambassador. 

Writing about this stunning appearance, the American entertainment media “People” mentioned, “Jung Ho Yeon matched a beaded gown dress with a delicate custom style and colorful colors with a hair band, and all the accessories she wore are Louis Vuitton products.”.

Meanwhile, Vogue US described, “Jung Ho Yeon’s formality with bangs down to the top of her eyebrows and short hair with curls tied with a crystal flower brooch caught my eye.” The famous American fashion magazine “Hypebae” also announced Jung Ho Yeon as the best dressed of the Emmys.

According to “Elle US”, Jung Ho Yeon described to “The Hollywood Reporter” that her red carpet fashion sense is “a very natural yet detailed style”, which turns out to be exactly the case. 

Jung Ho Yeon was nominated for Best Supporting Actress in a Drama Series, standing alongside famous Hollywood actresses. Her competitors in the same category include Patricia Arquette (Severance), Julia Garner (Ozark), Christina Ricci (Yellowjackets), Rhea Seehorn (Better Call Saul), Sydney Sweeney (Euphoria), as well as J. Smith-Cameron and Sarah Snook (Succession). 

In addition, Jung Ho Yeon received strong applause for her performance as a presenter in the sketch entertainment series category. The actress, who went to the award with actor Lee Jung Jae, appeared with a surprise reenactment of the “Red Light Green Light” game in “Squid Game” and drew attention with her witty sense. 

On the other hand, “Squid Game” won 6 trophies at the Emmy Awards, including Best Director in a Drama Series and Best Actor in a Drama Series, making it the first Korean work to win these 2 categories, and the first non-English-speaking drama to win both in the history of the Emmys. At this announcement, Jung Ho Yeon showed off the warm loyalty of the “Squid Game” team by congratulating director Hwang Dong Hyuk and Lee Jung Jae on their awards more than anyone else.

Jung Ho Yeon, who made her acting debut in September 2021 through “Squid Game”, immediately became a focus of an unprecedented world-wide syndrome.
