On November 26th, a post on Netflix Korea’s official Instagram with the caption, “Huh? I saw this actor on Netflix,” immediately drew attention.
The post includes multiple photos listing the past roles of actors who are currently starring in the popular ongoing JTBC Friday-Saturday drama “Reborn Rich” led by Song Joong Ki.
Kim Nam Hee, who plays Jin Sung Joon, the eldest son of Sunyang Group chairman Jin Yang Cheol (Lee Sung Min) in “Reborn Rich”, left a strong impression by playing Jung Jae Hun in Netflix’s original series “Sweet Home”.
In addition, actress Kim Shin Rok, who plays the daughter of chairman Jin Yang Cheol in “Reborn Rich”, received rave reviews for her realistic portrayal of Park Jeong Ja in Netflix’s hit webtoon-based drama “Hellbound”.
Other actors in the cast of “Reborn Rich” such as Park Ji Hoon, Jo Han Cheol, Kim Hyun, Huh Jung Do, and Jung Hee Tae, have also appeared in various Netflix dramas and films in the past, such as “Squid Game”, “The Sound of Magic”, and “Love and Leashes”.
Meanwhile, JTBC’s “Reborn Rich” is a fantasy drama that follows Yoon Hyun Woo (Song Joong Ki), a secretary who manages the owner’s risk of a chaebol family, returning to life as Jin Do Joon, the youngest son of the chaebol family, and seeking revenge. After only 5 episodes, the drama recorded a nationwide viewership rating of 14.8% (as reported by Nielsen Korea), showing off its syndrome-like popularity.
“Reborn Rich” is broadcast every Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 10:30 PM KST. It can also be watched through OTT services such as Netflix.
